The Story Behind the Blend:

Product Description;

I first heard of this blend from a friend of mine. She had just come back
from the East Coast and was raving about the wonderful salads and appetizers
that her sister had made using a slew of Middle Eastern ingredients. She made
a fastoosh salad for me and I was hooked. I just loved the flavor. This Za’atar
Blend is my spin on that very first taste using mostly organic ingredients sourced
in the US.

Our version of Za'atar gets is characteristic sourness from Sumac. The genius here
is the foil the Sumac makes to herbiness of the Thyme. It mixes beautifully with a
creamy Tahini dressing, which is so refreshing when the weather turns warm.
Never to be outdone by my incredible famers' market customers, one of them shared
that he loves to put Za'atar into bread dough and serve it Za'atar bread as a treat on
Sunday morning!   How clever is that?
